Do You Have a Carb Sensitivity?

When we are sensitive to carbohydrates, our cells do not respond effectively to insulin (our fat storage hormone), which ultimately means the body can no longer burn fat efficiently. But many people are unaware that they are challenged by their carbohydrate intake. In fact, the vast majority of us have different degrees of sensitivity to carbohydrates, and we don’t even realize it. Carb sensitive people face very real chemical and hormonal changes upon eating carbohydrates. For them, carb consumption will increase hunger and decrease the sense of fullness that people who are not carb sensitive would normally feel. For these people, carb consumption actually produces a compulsion to eat, often at the least opportune times for calorie burning, such as late at night. Dr. Turner reveals the symptoms to look for, and what you can do to break the cycle so that you can achieve your ideal body composition.

The Carb Sensitivity Program: Prescription for Metabolic Repair: Solving The Number One Reason for Obesity Today – Carb Sensitivity

When we are sensitive to carbohydrates, our cells do not respond effectively to insulin (our fat storage hormone), which ultimately means the body can no longer burn fat efficiently. But many people are unaware that they are challenged by their carbohydrate intake. In fact, the vast majority have different degrees of sensitivity to even healthy carbohydrates, and don’t realize it. The interesting variable that forms the foundation of Dr. Turner’s research, and is the premise of her new book, The Carb Sensitivity Programis that we each possess a tolerance for metabolizing carbohydrates that is unique to our physiology. Dr. Turner discusses also explains a “carb rehab program”, which is essentially her prescription for metabolic repair.
